Founding Partner Deborah Sather started SBH in 1996 and retired the end of March, 2014. She was Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section, received the Douglas W. Daughtry Award of Merit, and volunteered for countless CLE programs. She will be studying yoga and learning how to fly fish in Central Oregon.
Bruce Byerly retired from SBH Legal in June of 2018. We wish Bruce all the best in his retirement adventures, including playing music, fishing and relaxing at his cabin in Camp Sherman.
Founding Partner Ron Holloway started SBH in 1996 and retired the end of August, 2019. Ron will be spending time with his granddaughters, traveling and playing with his old cars. Congratulations, Ron, we wish you all the best in your retirement!
After over 41 years, 17 with SBH Legal, Brian Perko retired from the practice of law at the end of December, 2019. Brian will be spending more time with his children and grandchildren in California, traveling with his wife Melanie, and working on his golf game.
Del Brenneman joined SBH Legal as a partner in 2013. His entire career was focused on practicing law in the insurance defense industry, defending self-insured employers and insurers in Oregon workers’ compensation and Longshore claims. Del passed away August 23, 2015 and has been missed beyond measure. If you’re lucky, you meet a few magical people in your life. For many of us, Del was that guy.
After ten years of practicing law at SBH Legal, Ron retired in 2010. He is currently pursuing his artistic side through watercolors. Congratulations and good luck, Ron!
David Levine retired from SBH Legal in February of 2022. David joined SBH Legal as of counsel in 2021. He came to SBH Legal after thirty four years of a broad insurance defense practice, with a focus on defending self-insured employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters in Oregon and Washington. Prior to his insurance defense practice he was a Deputy District Attorney.
Jennifer Kramer joined SBH Legal as of counsel in January of 2022 and left for a “sabbatical” in December of 2023. She dedicated the last 25-years of her legal career to the representation of Washington employers. Jennifer will be spending more time with her family, taking dogs for walks, reading, exploring the country, with additional interesting activities added as the “sabbatical” progresses.
