Eric joined SBH Legal in 2023 and currently represents Oregon employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters.

Before joining the firm, Eric practiced with another defense firm specializing in Oregon and Washington workers’ compensation litigation.

Eric was first introduced to workers’ compensation while working for a large defense firm in Oakland, CA. During that time he became interested in the practice area and familiar with its principles and terminology. After three years with the firm, he moved to Oregon to attend law school with the idea of pursuing a career as a workers’ compensation attorney. While in law school, Eric made the Dean’s Honors List and clerked at a reputable claimant’s firm in Salem. Eric graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 2022 and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar Association later that year.

Something You May Not Know About Eric

Eric enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and going to the coast with his wife Alexis, and their miniature dachshund, Westley. He is a big Bay Area sports fan and looks forward to when the Giants play in Seattle and the Warriors play in Portland. Eric’s favorite restaurant in Portland is Jake’s Famous Crawfish, although Buranko Cafe & Bar is a close second.
