Sara joined SBH Legal in 2023 and currently represents Washington employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters.

Sara is from La Grande, Oregon but has made Portland her home for 10 years. Prior to working at SBH she worked at Metropolitan Public Defender in Community Law. In law school, she was a member of the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic and she volunteered at a detention center and at the border to help immigrants with the asylum process.

Something you may not know about Sara

Sara has lived in Mexico, Ecuador, Australia, and traveled extensively in Europe. She has a mini poodle named Kahlo and a rescue mutt named Vinnie. When the weather is nice, she likes to spend her time outside hiking, camping, and going to concerts in the park with her dogs and partner. When the weather is rainy, she likes to play boardgames and sing karaoke with her friends. She likes to make sushi, play kickball in city league, and her favorite sports team is the Ducks.
