Matt joined SBH Legal in 2024 and represents Oregon employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters.

Before joining the firm, Matt worked as staff counsel for Travelers Insurance for two years before working with another defense firm specializing in Oregon workers’ compensation litigation.  Matt spent several months representing injured workers before joining SBH Legal.

Matt was born in Knoxville, TN, and attended law school in West Virginia.  After practicing law in West Virginia for several years Matt moved to Portland with his family and began working at Travelers Insurance.

Outside of work Matt enjoys reading, hiking, playing sports and spending time with his wife and children.
