Kate joined SBH Legal in 2025 as an attorney after clerking with the firm last summer. She represents Oregon employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters.

Born and raised in Southern California, Kate attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in Political Science and played rugby for the Cal Women’s Rugby team. After graduating, Kate worked as a Legislative Assistant for the California State Assembly for several years before moving to Oregon where she attended Lewis & Clark Law School. Outside of work Kate is active and enjoys weight training, yoga, and dance.

  • Kate loves traveling with family, exploring local restaurants with friends, cooking and baking new recipes, and making charcuterie boards.
  • Kate enjoys trying new things, including learning Haitian Creole and crochet.
  • Kate loves fantasy and spends much of her free time listening to dystopian novels, watching anime, and reading Harry Potter with her son, Simy.
