Declan joined SBH Legal in 2026 and currently represents Oregon employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters.
He was born and raised in Chicago before first moving to New Orleans in 2012 and then Portland, Oregon in 2016. He attended Tulane University. Upon graduation he moved to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark Law School for his J.D and LL.M. Declan has worked for various nonprofits whose primary focus was environmental protections. He clerked at the Multnomah County Courthouse. He honed his skills in litigation representing indigent clients as a Public Defense Attorney in Portland. He lives with his dog CJ (Casey Jones). In his free time, he enjoys exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer by hiking, skiing, or whitewater rafting.
