About
Matt joined SBH Legal in 2026 as a Summer Associate.
Before joining the firm, Matt clerked at the Lane County Circuit Court and worked as a group life insurance underwriter. Matt is a rising 3L at the University of Oregon School of Law and is the Editor-in-Chief of the Oregon Law Review.
Matt is originally from Massachusetts and grew up in the Greater Boston area. He moved to Oregon to be closer to family and to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. His undergraduate degree is in Business Administration, with concentrations Finance and Business Law. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, attending Ducks games, and cheering on Boston sports teams.

Something you may not know about Matt:
- Matt is a self-described “nerd” and cites the manga One Piece as his motivation to pursue a legal career. His favorite travel destinations are New Orleans, Montreal, London, and Porto. He is a pizza lover and is always open to recommendations; he will go out of his way to try new pizza spots.
