Sydney joined SBH Legal in 2025 and currently represents Oregon and Washington employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters. Prior to joining SBH, Sydney gained extensive experience in workers’ compensation during her time at Oregon’s State Accident Insurance Fund (SAIF).

Sydney is originally from Nampa, Idaho, but considers herself an Oregonian at heart. She graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a minor in Canadian Studies. She continued her academic journey at Willamette University College of Law where she served on the Moot Court Board and was a merit scholarship recipient. It was during her time serving on the Moot Court Board where she discovered a love for courtroom advocacy, believing that everyone deserves a strong defense.

Something you may not know about Sydney

When she’s not in the office, Sydney enjoys cooking, traveling to new places, watching documentaries, and exploring Portland’s vibrant food scene. She loves playing with her dog, Cooper, an Australian Shepherd, and her cat, Finnigan. She also cherishes spending quality time with her husband and young daughter, often discovering new adventures together in and around the city.
