Ricky joined SBH Legal in 2025 and currently represents Washington employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and related employment defense matters. Ricky began his legal journey in 2015, working as an office manager for a court reporting firm during college. During law school he worked as a paralegal for a boutique defense firm in California focused on public entity, automotive, and commercial liability defense. Ricky graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 2022 and earned a Barrister’s award for his performance in the Moot Court.

Something you may not know about Ricky
He is originally from Los Angeles, moved to Oregon for law school, and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. He appreciates Portland’s food scene, the PNW’s outdoors, and developed an appreciation for its hidden viticulture. Outside of work, he enjoys watching college and professional football, reading history books, playing strategy games, and improving his cooking skills. He stays busy with his wife and two adventurous dogs, who never hesitate to jump into puddles.
