Following his 1978 admission to the Oregon State Bar, Brian prosecuted numerous criminal cases as a Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County through 1980. From 1980 through 1997, he worked as an associate attorney and later as a partner at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, LLP and then Hoffman, Hart & Wagner, LLP, where Brian’s practice focused on defending insured and self-insured employers in industrial injury and occupational disease cases. From 1998 through 2002, he served as corporate counsel for the region’s largest automobile retailer, resolving employment, consumer protection and business practice issues.
Member of the Oregon State Bar; United States District Court, District of Oregon; Workers’ Compensation and Labor and Employment Sections of the Oregon State Bar; Workers’ Compensation Claims Association; and the Oregon Self-Insurers Association.
